Dana & Matt- a Lilacia Park Engagement Session
One of the many things I love about engagement sessions is getting the chance to get to know a couple before the day of their wedding - and vice versa.
There’s so much going on on The Big Day: hair, make-up, family, friends, nerves, excitement and um, oh yeah, getting married (!) that feeling comfortable with your wedding photographer truly makes such a difference. Instead of one more person the couple needs to say “nice to meet you” to, it’s such a relief when your photog walks in and you’re just like, “Oh! Hey! Guys, this is Maura. She’s a friend of mine who will just happen to be trailing us and taking our photos all day, mmkay?”.
While I was already very pumped to capture Dana and Matt’s New Years Eve wedding at the Hyatt Lodge next December 31st, after hanging out with them and their unfathomably adorable beagle, Addie, I’m now excited on a personal level. They’re an amazing couple. I got to capture this exciting time in their lives and in several months I’ll have the honor of capturing the biggest step they’ll ever take as a couple. I mean, how lucky am I?!
